Iranians never forget US downing of Iran passenger plane

Today marks the anniversary of the US downing of an Iranian passenger plane over the Persian Gulf, killing all passengers and crew members on board.

The Iranian nation will never forget the downing of their passenger plane and they memorialize the victims of this inhuman US atrocity on this sad occasion every year.

In a symbolic act on Saturday, the victims’ families and some Iranian officials paid floral tribute to martyrs of the terror attack by casting flowers into the Persian Gulf waters.    

On July 3, 1988, the USS Vincennes fired missiles at an Iran Air Airbus which was flying over the Strait of Hormuz from the port city of Bandar Abbas to Dubai, the UAE. All those on board the airliner were martyred.
